I rarely write reviews, but I’m eager to write this review of GL Home Improvements. I’ve managed total renovations of three homes and have managed many individual repair and renovation projects. GL Home Improvements is by far the best renovation contractor I’ve ever worked with. GL did the remodeling and finishing on one of the homes featured on their website. Over the course of 9 months I managed the total renovation of a 2500 square foot home that required iextensive work including plumbing repair, new wiring, sheetrock and flooring throughout, new window installation, roof repair, remodeling - unused space to bedroom and huge closet coverted to additional living room space. I was given the name of GL as a company that could help with flooring installation. Once I saw the quality, price, and speed of the floors they completed, I used them every time. Some of the projects they completed were building and installing large closets with barn doors, remodeling large areas of the home ( moving walls, etc., window replacement, carpentry which required careful planning and artistic judgment, installation of shower and tub enclosures, installation of many plumbing fixtures, lights and fans, and external security cameras, excellent judgment in design of living spaces and they anticipate all the details before starting a job such as the doors The installation of the door sets was somewhat complicated and stained with the doors having to be perfect to match the floors The construction and finishing of the cabinets were perfect in every way and we have received many compliments on the cabinets.At various points in the renovation I experienced delays in the availability of my regular plumber and electrician. I learned that GL had staff trained and certified in these specialties and they quickly stepped in and completed the job. We opened up several areas in the living room and repurposed an unused space into a perfect bedroom. I sought advice from Luis and Marvin to design the new spaces. Before making your recommendations, thoroughly evaluate all structural, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing factors. The result was a beautiful renovation inside and out. The renovation would have taken much longer but for the fantastic job done by GL! When we finally listed the property, it rented out quickly! If you are looking for contractors I highly recommend getting a quote from GL first. All the work they have done for me has been exceptional. I watched their work almost daily - they do things the right way and don't take shortcuts, they are super responsive, they complete their work quickly, their rates are very reasonable, and they are extremely honest!
